Cloud & Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, run like a managed business platform.

One accountable New Mexico team for licensing, migration, identity, security, and a real recovery plan — so your team's cloud just works, and you're ready for the day something breaks.

Albuquerque-based. Approved Microsoft CSP & Google Workspace reseller. One accountable partner — from the desktop to the cloud.

Sound familiar?

Most cloud problems aren't about the software. They're about who owns it.

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace are powerful — but without someone accountable, small gaps quietly add up. Here's what we hear most.

"Nobody really owns our Microsoft 365."

Changes happen ad hoc, and there's no clear plan or point of contact.

"Licensing is confusing and expensive."

Too many or the wrong licenses, and no one's sure what you're actually paying for.

"Someone left — did we handle everything?"

Accounts, access, files, forwarding, and licenses too easily get missed.

"Teams and SharePoint have grown out of control."

New sites and channels appear with no governance behind them.

"People can see things they shouldn't."

Broad sharing links and old permissions add up over time.

"Is MFA actually on everywhere?"

Multifactor and Conditional Access are inconsistent across users.

"If an account gets compromised, then what?"

A single compromise can become both a security and a data-loss event.

"Something got deleted — or ransomware hit."

And everyone assumes Microsoft or Google can simply restore it.

"We've never actually tested recovery."

Nobody's confirmed what you could get back, or how quickly.

A plan for when data is lost

Independent backup and a recovery plan Miclyn can design and manage for your Microsoft 365 data — because retention and recycle-bin tools alone may not cover every scenario.

Identity & employee lifecycle

What happens the day someone leaves?

Onboarding and offboarding is where administration, security, licensing, and data protection all meet — and where things quietly fall through the cracks. We make it a consistent, repeatable process.

  • Disable the identity and end active sessions
  • Turn off access to email, files, and apps
  • Reclaim or reassign the license so you stop paying for it
  • Preserve the mailbox and files you're required to keep
  • Hand off shared mailboxes, group ownership, and forwarding
  • Clean up SharePoint and shared-file permissions
Joiners, movers, leavers

One process, every time.

The same care applies across the whole employee lifecycle:

  •  New hires provisioned consistently
  •  Role changes and access reviews
  •  Contractors and temporary access
  •  Shared mailboxes and groups
  •  License adds, changes, removals
  •  Data preserved to meet retention needs
Backup & recovery

Know how you'll recover — before you need to recover.

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace include real native recovery — retention, recycle bins, and undelete — built for short-term, everyday mistakes. Ransomware, a compromised account, or a file you need back six months later is a different problem. Miclyn designs your recovery strategy first, then adds and manages the right protection for your environment.

A recovery plan turns an incident from improvisation into a process.

Native platform protection

Retention & recycle bins

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace include genuinely useful retention, recycle-bin, undelete, and compliance recovery — great for everyday mistakes caught quickly. They're a real part of the picture, and we use them.

Independent data protection

A separate copy, by design

Where appropriate, Miclyn can add an independent backup and recovery layer — a copy of your SaaS data kept apart from your production tenant, with the retention and recovery points your environment calls for.

Managed recovery

Someone who runs the recovery

Having backup data is only half the job. Miclyn designs the strategy, manages the platform, knows your environment, and runs and tests the recovery — so when something goes wrong, you call us.

A recovery plan is really about what happens after one of these:

Compromised user account Compromised administrator Malicious deletion Accidental deletion Ransomware Mass file corruption Bad synchronization Permissions mistakes Departed-employee data Mailbox loss OneDrive / SharePoint / Teams data Google Drive / Gmail data Migration errors Configuration mistakes

The details matter. In Microsoft 365, deleted items are recoverable for about 14 days by default (up to 30), a deleted mailbox for 30 days, and SharePoint and OneDrive content for a combined 93-day window. Google Workspace keeps Drive trash for 30 days, with only limited admin recovery after that. These native tools do their job well — but they're time-boxed and built for compliance and quick undo, not point-in-time recovery from a major incident. Under Microsoft's and Google's shared-responsibility models, protecting your data is ultimately your responsibility. Depending on your environment and recovery requirements, Miclyn can design and manage an independent backup and recovery layer to close that gap — with realistic expectations, not overpromises.

Migration

Move to the cloud without the chaos.

Most migration worry comes down to a few questions: will we lose email or files, will permissions break, how much downtime. We plan for those up front — and build in a fallback in case something goes wrong.

1

Assess

Understand your current environment, data, and users.

2

Plan

Map the move, timeline, DNS, and identity — with a rollback plan.

3

Prepare

Set up the destination tenant, licensing, and security.

4

Migrate

Move mail, files, and permissions with minimal disruption.

5

Validate

Confirm data, access, and mail flow are right.

6

Support

Help your team settle in after go-live.

We handle legacy Exchange to Microsoft 365, tenant-to-tenant moves, and migrations in both directions between Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Every migration is designed to minimize downtime and disruption — we bring a plan and a fallback, and set realistic expectations instead of overpromising.

Copilot readiness

Before you turn Copilot loose on your data.

Microsoft 365 Copilot respects the permissions your people already have. That's the point — and the risk. If files are overshared or SharePoint is a free-for-all, Copilot can surface information people were never meant to see.

  • Find where information is overshared today
  • Tighten broad sharing links and stale permissions
  • Assign real owners to SharePoint sites
  • Confirm the identity and licensing prerequisites
  • Put governance in place before rollout, not after

Copilot readiness assessment

We help you understand who can access what today, put appropriate governance foundations in place, and confirm you're ready — so an AI rollout strengthens your business instead of exposing it.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is a paid add-on with its own prerequisites. We'll help you understand what's involved before you commit.

Google Workspace

Prefer Google? We manage and protect Workspace too.

Microsoft is the bigger part of what we do — but Google Workspace customers get the same standard of care: administration, security, migration, licensing, and a real backup plan.

Gmail & Drive

Day-to-day administration and support for Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Meet.

Admin & security

Workspace admin console, 2-Step Verification, and access controls managed for you.

User lifecycle

Consistent onboarding and offboarding, with data handled correctly when people leave.

Licensing & subscriptions

As an approved Google Workspace reseller, we manage your subscriptions, licenses, and billing.

Migration

Move to or from Microsoft 365, or between Google tenants, with a plan and a fallback.

Backup & recovery

Independent backup and recovery Miclyn can design for Gmail and Drive, beyond Google's native trash windows.

Governance

Sharing controls, access reviews, and sensible structure as you grow.

One accountable partner

The same local team that handles your endpoints, network, and security.

Everything above is part of how Miclyn supports Google Workspace today — just ask.
Security & governance

Keep the cloud secure as it grows.

Cloud platforms drift over time — permissions loosen, sharing spreads, settings get forgotten. We keep the guardrails in place.

Identity & access

MFA and Conditional Access applied consistently, so the right people get in and the wrong people don't.

Permissions & sharing

Clean up SharePoint, OneDrive, and Drive sharing, assign owners, and keep access reviewed.

Threat protection & retention

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 configuration and sensible retention, working alongside your broader security.

This works hand-in-hand with Miclyn SecureIT for broader managed IT and 24/7 cybersecurity across your whole environment.

Questions

Microsoft 365 & cloud questions, answered.

Are we paying for the right Microsoft 365 licenses?

Often not — licenses drift as people join and leave. As an approved Microsoft CSP reseller we review what you have, right-size it, and manage adds, changes, and removals so you stop paying for seats nobody uses.

Who actually manages our Microsoft 365?

With Miclyn, we do — day-to-day administration, a help desk your team can reach, and one number to call. As your CSP reseller, you contact us for support rather than waiting in Microsoft's queue.

What happens when an employee leaves?

We disable the identity, end access, reclaim or reassign the license, preserve the email and files you're required to keep, and hand off shared mailboxes, groups, and forwarding — as a consistent process, not a scramble.

Isn't Microsoft 365 already backing up our data?

Not the way most people assume. Microsoft's recycle bins and retention windows recover recent items for a limited time, and Microsoft offers a paid backup add-on — but native retention on its own isn't a complete backup or point-in-time recovery strategy. Under Microsoft's shared-responsibility model, protecting your data is ultimately your responsibility. Depending on your environment, Miclyn can design and manage an independent backup and recovery layer — and run the recovery when you need it.

How would we recover after ransomware or a bad deletion?

That's exactly what a recovery plan is for. Depending on the protection Miclyn has designed for you, we can restore to a known-good recovery point instead of hoping a retention window hasn't lapsed — and we stay realistic about how fast and how fully data comes back.

Have we ever actually tested recovery?

Most businesses haven't. Miclyn can build recovery testing into your plan so you know what you can get back, and roughly how, before you're in the middle of an incident.

Can you migrate us without chaos?

We plan every migration around your email, files, permissions, and downtime, and we build in a fallback. We handle legacy Exchange to Microsoft 365, tenant-to-tenant, and moves between Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace in either direction.

Are we ready for Copilot?

Microsoft 365 Copilot uses each person's existing permissions, so oversharing is the main risk. We assess who can access what today, tighten permissions and governance, and confirm the prerequisites before you roll it out.

Can you manage Google Workspace too?

Yes. As an approved Google Workspace reseller we handle administration, security, licensing, and migration — and can design independent backup and recovery for Gmail, Drive, and the rest of Workspace.

Can you clean up SharePoint and permissions?

Yes — assigning owners, tightening sharing links, reviewing access, and putting sensible structure in place, so information reaches the right people and no one else.
